How Barood collects, stores, and uses your data.
Privacy Policy
Plain-language details on what Barood Fitness collects, how we use it, and the controls you have over your data. We try to keep things simple, transparent, and respectful of your privacy.
We never sell your personal data — full stop.
We collect only what's needed to run the app, personalize your training, and keep your account secure.
Payments go through Apple, Google, or other approved processors. We never see your full card number.

Barood Fitness ("Barood", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have when you use the Barood mobile app, website, and related services (the "Service").
By using Barood, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
We collect information you provide directly, information generated automatically as you use the Service, and a limited amount of information from third parties (for example, when you sign in with Apple or Google).
2.1 Information you provide
- Account details: name, email, profile photo (optional), authentication identifier, and any preferences you set.
- Fitness profile: goals, body metrics you choose to enter (weight, height, age, sex), training level, and equipment you have access to.
- Activity data: workouts logged, exercise progress, streaks, challenges joined, and notes you add.
- Support content: messages, screenshots, and attachments you send when you contact us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device & technical data: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, anonymous identifiers, and crash diagnostics.
- Usage data: features used, screens viewed, session duration, and in-app interactions — used to improve the product.
- Cookies & similar tech (website only): small files used for essential functionality and aggregated analytics.
2.3 Payment & subscription information
- Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or other approved payment processors.
- We receive a transaction receipt and subscription status — we never receive or store your full card number.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Barood's features and content.
- Personalize your training plan, recommendations, and progress insights.
- Process subscriptions, restore purchases, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Send service notices, important account updates, and replies to your support requests.
- Monitor performance, fix bugs, and improve reliability across devices.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
If you are in a region with privacy laws that require a legal basis for processing (such as the EEA, UK, or similar), we rely on the following:
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, analyze anonymous usage, and improve the product.
- Consent — for optional things like marketing communications, where required by law.
- Legal obligations — to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with the parties below and only as needed:
- Service providers — hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, push messaging, and subscription/payment infrastructure (for example, Firebase / Google Cloud, Apple, Google Play). These providers act on our instructions and under contractual safeguards.
- Legal & compliance — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Barood.
- Corporate transactions — if Barood is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your data.
- We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and audit logging.
- Data is stored on vetted cloud infrastructure (including Firebase / Google Cloud and other approved providers).
- We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, plus any period required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement.
- When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data on a defined schedule, except where retention is legally required.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Export a copy of your data in a portable format (where feasible).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email baroodfitness@gmail.com. We will respond within the time frames required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Barood offers auto-renewable subscriptions for premium features.
- Subscription title, duration, and price are clearly shown in the app before purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Refund eligibility is governed by the rules of the platform you purchased from.
If you choose to enter health data (such as weight, body measurements, or training history) or grant access to platform health stores (Apple Health, Google Health Connect), we use this data only to power your training experience inside Barood — for example, to personalize workouts, track progress, and estimate calorie burn.
- We do not use your health data for advertising.
- We do not share your health data with third parties for their own purposes.
- You can revoke health permissions at any time from your device settings.
Barood is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required by your local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at baroodfitness@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States and other regions where our service providers operate. When we transfer data across borders, we apply appropriate safeguards required by applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses) to keep your data protected.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our Service evolves or as the law requires. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of Barood after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
